I am descended from John Putnam (b. March 07, 1765) and Philura Curtis (b.July 17, 1769). They were married April 13, 1791 at Preston, CT. I'm certain Philura was the daughter of Frederick Curtis and Lurana Hyde (m. December 17, 1760 in Canterbury, CT). I'm searching for Frederick's parents. A World Family Tree has John Curtis and Elizabeth Lord. Lots of marriage records for them with the date October 31, 1728 in Wethersfield, CT. However, I also have a death date for John of October 31, 1727 in Canterbury CT. Something is very wrong with that! I'd be grateful for any information you may have. Janice
