Hi, I am searching for the parents of Joel Warner Curtis who was born March 10, 1818 in Ohio. Some records indicate the he was born in Columbus, Ohio and some indicate Trumbull County, Ohio. I do not know which is correct. I have alot of information on his decendants but have been looking for years to find his parents. He names his first son Richard, he also named a son Zenas which is rather unusual an I thought might be a lead. Census information says that both of his parents were born in New York. My grandmother who was Joel's daughter kept journals about everyday happenings, the only note that refered to her fathers family was that he had a sister who died in New Jersey.
