    2. JANET CURTIS.... Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 4, 2003, Janet Newbold Curtis, widow of Lt. Colonel Frederick P. Curtis U.S.A. (Ret.). Residence, North Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE CHAPEL, on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at one o'clock. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr s Greenridge Chapel Tuesday evening from six until eight o clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Rd., North Charleston, S.C. 29406, or the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 22587, Charleston, S.C. 29413. Mrs. Curtis was born in Muncie, Indiana November 1, 1939, the daughter of Russell Newbold and Verna Campbell Newbold. She was a former employee with Trident Hospital and MUSC in the billing department but first and foremost she was the greatest Mom and a good friend. Surviving are two daughters; Cylinda Calvert Scruggs and her husband Joe of Hilton Head, S.C., Lucretia Cale and her husband Steve of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., one son; Mark Calvert and his wife Renee of Summerville, S.C., two brothers; Steve Newbold and his wife Linda of LaHacienda Hgts., CA., Jim Newbold and his wife Starlett of San Antonio, Texas, and four grandchildren; Michael Scruggs, Blair Riggins, Austin Calvert, and Courtney Calvert. Janet Curtis was predeceased by a brother Albert and a sister Phylliss.
