According to "legend", his father was also an Asa, but I haven't been able to connect the two. The son was too young (15) to be dealing in land, but the father wwouldn't have been. Asa (1798) was born in New York and moved from there to Monroe County, Michigan in 1836. The place he lived prior to moving to MI was Niagara County, NY. By the map, our Asa kin don't seem far apart, but could be worlds apart. Do you have any more information on your Asa? Any additional information would be appreciated! Mary Daily medaily@idir.net
