Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/mbexec/msg/5538/TmQ.2ACIB/2298.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Russell, I can't find a link between my ancestors and the two people on the birth certificates you have but I wonder if you can? My Curtis line is as follows: ggg Grandparents: George Curtis, born before 1800 and Susanna Brunyee? born about 1780, Beckingham, Nottinghamshire. I believe George died in the early 1820's and Susanna who was running the Hare & Hounds pub in Beckingham in 1832 died in the 1840's. gg Grandfather: Robert Curtis, born 1819, Beckingham, Nottinghamshire. Robert had at least 5 siblings: Joseph (b.1802), Sarah (b.1804), William (b.1810), Thomas (b.1812) and Nathanniel (b.1817). Robert married Sarah Stovin in 1846 and they moved to Islington about 1850. g Grandfather: Ernest R Curtis, b.1859, Islington. The other children of Robert & Sarah were: William (b. 1848), Edmund (b.1850), Eliza (b.1852), Alfred (b.1855) and John (b.1857). If there is a link it would probably have to be through the brothers of Robert Curtis although my Mother who grew up in Islington in the 1930's told me that there were other Curtis families living in the area who as far as she knows were not related. Regards, Allan
