He was born June 27, 1823 in NC. He married Mary George Pruett on or about July 7, 1853 in Independence County, AR. He served in the Civil War. Mary moved to Boone County, AR after William's death (Jan. 29, 1872). William and Mary had seven children. Mark - Jan. 21, 1855, Emily Amelia - Feb. 7, 1857, Nancy E. - Feb. 14, 1860, James Washington (my gr-gr-grandfather) born June 17, 1866, Mary Jane - Oct. 23, 1868 and Kizzah - Oct. 4, 1870. I have been unable to locate any information on the parents or siblings of William Riley Curtis. Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.
