Having failed completely to locate the parents of my Catherine Curtis of Dutchess County NY, b. abt 1789 who married Mynard Van den Bogart (Minard), is there any chance that the referenced unpublished genealogies might have contain a clue for Catherine's ancestry? Quite a few of my ancestors and their sibs were living in Middleburg at the same time frame. Have you done any hands on research in Middleburgh NY? I did a lot of research there in the late 1980's and early 1990's. I live near Memphis TN and am too far to go there now. If you haven't been to the Middleburgh Library, I would call them and see what they have in their genealogy collection. There were hundreds of home made genealogies, scrapbooks and reference books. Maybe they have an index file of the collection so you could see if Curtis or any of your other ancestors name is included. Also check with the Schoharie Stone Fort Museum to see if they have anything. On another post here in the Schoharie message board I gave links and places to check out for research in Schoharie County. I am going to include your information in my notes with your e-mail etc. in case I run into an Abner Descendant.
