Surnames: Curtis Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TmQ.2ACIB/2244 Message Board Post: In 1947 in San Diego, CA, a woman named Barbara Curtis had a child, a boy, that she gave up for adoption. There are no records of the adoption because she entered the hospital and had the baby under my mother's name. I'm trying to help my adopted brother find his natural relatives. My mother died in 1968 and our aged father doesn't remember much about the details. He tells us that the woman had a husband in the service - I don't know which branch. Not much to go on. She may have had other children, possibly even others that she adopted out. If this rings any bells with anyone, I'd love to hear from you.
