I have never found him referenced with a middle name except in a posting some time ago by someone who was making an "assumption" that Joshua was his middle name. Moses Curtis, son of Thomas Curtis and Eleanor Bryant, was born October 3, 1777 in Randolph County, NC and died September 3, 1853 in McDowell County, NC. He was a Methodist Minister, blacksmith and farmer and is buried in the Curtis Creek Cemetery in McDowell County, NC. His wife was Mary Allison and/or Mary Strain. Does anyone know the parents of James Curtis who was married to Nancy Murray? Thanks~ Carolyn Curtis
That is the same information I am looking for information on James Curtis born Randolph, Co., N. C. 1740 and married to Nancy Murray. My direct ancestor from James and Nancy was their son John Curtis. I have been told that it has been difficult to find further information prior to James in this line. So If you find out the parents of James please let me know.
