I was hoping to find the family of my Christina who md. Abel Johnson aka Johnston, who was orig. from Hunterdon Co., NJ and later moved on into Northumberland Co., (now Union), PA. I still do not know who she was, but I did copy some Curtis names and perhaps someone can identify them? (Mrs. J.D.L. Wife Ales; sons Benjamin and Thomas; 3 daughters not mentioned by name (2) 1759: Benjamin Curtis, Thomas Curtis in Kingwood Twp Will of Thomas Curtis of Kingwood Twp proved 20 Oct 1813; children: Sarah Taylor; Abel, Benjamin, Thomas. Grandson: John Grand-dau: Athaliah Taylor. Thomas has a lot in Baptist town, now family burying ground. (3) 26 March Indenture Thomas Curtis and wife Mary of Kingwood Twp to Jonathon Britton: Hunterdon Co Deeds 18:175 (4) 1782: 08 May Admin. of Benj. Curtis of Kingwood to Jane (5) 1795: 06 Feb Anne (Curtis) Grimes; a dau of Benjamin (6) 1823: 10 Oct Admin of estate of Thomas Curtis of Alexandria to Asa Runyon; mentions pension money in Trenton from Sept to 1823; doubtful if can collect.
