On the front of her house on Beaver Dam Road , which is near the harbor, is a sign that says Amos Curtis 1833. The Curtis family were in Scituate when the town was young. I think they were a sailing family. I have some Curtises in my data base but can't find info on an Amos Curtis who may have lived about 1833. Not sure why his name is on the house except to imagine that he was the first to build it. Does anyone have info on Amos. Greatly appreciated.
