He was perhaps born in Pulaski, Tn. Note the sound is the same spelling is different. I have a great grandmother Cora Ann Curtis that was half Cherokee Indian that is from this area. Her date of birth would be around same years as his. My great grandmother married a Jarrett. And, I have heard my mother speak of her grandfather, who was Edward Curtis.
