Hi Sally, I read your message about Moses Curtis b. abt. 1769 and I also think that he is the brother of Fielding W. Curtis, Sr. from which I am a decendant of. Fielding W. Curtis, Jr. married Lenia Wood dau. of Jesse Wood and Rebecca Barnes. Fielding W. Curtis, Sr. signed Fielding, Jr. and Lenia marriage record.Fielding and Lenny as she was later called lived in part of Barren Co. Ky. which later (1820) was Monroe Co.Ky. They are in the 1840 census. This is the last record of Fielding Curtis, Jr that I have. Lenny lives until after 1870. I would be interested in any information on this line. Thanks. Dana J.

But I don't know if they answer all my questions. I have been digging a little deeper into my Curtis search and I discovered that his name may have been William, or William Henry, as it was written on his daughter's death certificate. Also his wife's name was Margaret Webber. William died around 1895, so I doubt he had any connection to the hotel, unless it was a brother or something like that. Our information says that he came from the east coast, or possibly his parents did. If you can link this with your Curtises I'd love to know the connection! Thanks, Erin
