    3. Julia, My Samuel Curtis was born 1777 in Chislet, county of Kent, England. He married Sarah Lewis and they had a total of 15 children (five of whom came to the US). Unknown as to his date of death (his last son, Daniel was born in 1828). Any ideas? 3. Pat, I am a decendant of William (Edward's younger brother) who both married Susanna Smith. Have considerable data regarding the Curtis' of Rome twp, Lenawee, MI but could use some Moses / Jackson, MI info... Have you uncovered details regarding Elizabeth (Curtis) Rigden - Moses's sister? My understanding is she came to the US with Moses in 1853 (Moses's teenage daughter Harriet die enroute at the Welland Canal) with her husband, James and eight children. I have found but one - George W (Civil War Vet and close friend of William)... He is mentioned in William's probate of 1870. Let us compare notes...
