January 23 1859 in Randolph County, Nc. He married Nellie COBLE. I beleive that the mention John above that was found dead July 4 1816 is Samuel father. Why? Samuel CURTIS filed an Administrator's bond for the estate of John CURTIS, deceased, dated Feb. 7 1816, in Randolph County, Nc. and is from a file on the estate of John Curtis in the records of Randolph County, Nc. Information from the National Archives, national Geneological Society Quarterly, indicates John CURTIS, born June 2 1773, came from Derbyshire, England. ******Notes***** N.C. Continental Line Moses CURTIS private McRee's Co. enlisted May 9 1781 served 12 month Dst'd May 28 1781 Moses CURTIS did leave a will dated 1853 in Will Book 1 p. 34 orginal will in Nc state archives.
