I have copies of a few select pages from that book and this is where I saw it too. I had a researcher in DC look for his obit but she couldn't find anything. I am wondering since Jewett lived in the state of Washington if this is a mistake. It was not DC but the state. Thanks again. Jackie

I see from my mail list you and I have touched base before but I have no idea how long ago or what discussions we may have had.) It's very interesting to see the roots of another person match mine at the very beginning. My Curtis lineage is: Henry, Theophilus, Moses, William, William, Rev. David, Eliza who m. my GG grandfather, George Washington Richardson, 1 Jan. 1846 in Medway, MA. Was your husband's 2nd John, b. 5 July 1692 in Braintree MA., and married Zipporah Belcher 24 Aug. 1704? That's as far as I have gone on that side. I have neither the place or time of their deaths nor the place of their marriage. I have a Curtis cousin who has the lineage: Henry, Theophilus, Moses, Ashley, Barnabus, Bela, Alanson, Henry, Hiram, Ferris, (living) and Judy (living). I would enjoy trading names with you if you are interested. Sincerely, Arthur Hudson Richardson, Jr. pddgm29@aol.com

Louisa's parents are believed to be James and Ann Curtis of Railway Cottages, Norwich. he was a railway carriage examiner. William Bertie was brought up by his uncle George CURTIS, and we lose all trace of Lousia. William Bertie worked on the railways and in 1901 travelled to Canada to work on the railways there. he returned after less than a year to marry Alice Emily COOPER, and their first son was born either just before or after the marriage. Do you know this branch of the CURTIS family?

    2. Hi, I think we've spoken before. I've looked through every genealogical record my grandmother collected, and also through everything I've found on my own, and although your Curtis girls sound familiar to me, I cannot find any matching names in my own records. I will keep your names in mind, however, just in case I come across anything. This must be a horrible brick wall for you! I'm sorry I haven't returned your email sooner--I've been offline since Saturday, thanks to the stupidity and general incompetence of America Online and their so-called technical "support". Don't get me started. :(( I will keep your girls in mind while I do my own research.
