I believe she may have been the Abigail Curtis born in Freeport in 1770 to Thomas and Abigail (______) Curtis. I would be interested in any information on this branch and their New England ancestors.

I could not find a link but my Curtis family goes from Scituate MA to Hanover MA then on to Maine with the fourth generation. Here are those names and towns. Descendants of William Howell Curtis, son of James M. Curtis and Matilda Blalock, and Sallie Matilda Dalton, daughter of James Alfred Dalton and Sarah Jane Noblett/Noblitt are holding a Memorial Service for their ancestors on July 2, 2005 at the Old Fort Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. William and Sallie were buried in unmarked graves in 1917. I have an Adressbook for all my Rootsweb Lists and maybe they are just choosing the wrong one, but then these could be a response to another e-mail and they haven't chosen to include the Original response to their answer. Hello to Jim and others, I think what some of these messages are is we have missed some or forgotten. Maybe someone is looking for a Jane CURTIS, that was married to a William Hammontree. I know some of them can be confusing, but was told if we go to the message board and look at some of them, then we can make a connection, but most of them, like the ones that doesn't give much information, for example, the one you wrote about, has me lost to who they are talking about.
