    3. Hi all You have probably heard that Rootsweb is removing the Mailing List feature on 2nd March 2020. You will no longer be able to subscribe or send messages to the CURD-UK list after that date. The archives will be kept on Rootsweb for you to view. A new group has been set up on groups.io, a similar but better mailing list. The group is called CURD-UK and you can subscribe at https://groups.io/g/CURD-UK Hope to see you there. Regards David Banks, ex-moderator for the Rootsweb CURD-UK mailing list

    1. Elizabeth CURD - Kent/Sussex England
    2. Peter Davis
    3. Hi, I am new here and this is my first post, so a bit about my tree: The CURD branch of my tree is from SE England (London, Kent and East Sussex). My paternal grandfather was Frederick Mark DAVIS, born 24 Feb 1866, in Ore, Hastings, Sussex. His parents were William Davis and Elizabeth S. Davis (nee CURD). My research shows that Elizabeth CURD was born in Yalding, Kent (a village near Maidstone), c 1836. I am trying to find MARRIAGE record of William Davis & Elizabeth S. Curd (my Great-Grandparents) I know they had a son William, born July 1861, and his birth certificate indicates parents were married at that time. I have 1881 census extract for 91 Merrow St, Newington, Surrey (South London), which shows Elizabeth Davis head age 44 born Yalding, Kent Frederick Davis son age 15 born Hastings, Sussex Kate Davis dau age 10 born Hastings, Sussex From this data it would appear that William and Elizabeth married sometime between 1854 and 1861 - (Elizabeth would have been age about 18 in 1854, and son William was born in 1861). I have searched 1837online.com in vain - I can find no matching records. As Elizabeth is shown as "Head" on the above census, this could mean William was deceased, was away from home. or they had separated/divorced by 1881. Research by a relative tells me that William Davis was born c 1833, his parents were Thomas Davis & Elizabeth (nee Wenman). Any help would be much appreciated. Peter (Now living in Perth, Scotland)
