To whom were born 9 children who survive them. His wife preceded him to the better land some 15 years ago. He was a member of Friends Church, was honest, industrious, kind hearted, always remembering those in adverse circumstances. He was well informed and through a long and eventful life, always seeing the bright side, and his genial disposition won him hosts of friends. His children and grandchildren have lost one who was not a burden, but a companion and friend; one who sympathized with them in their joys and sorrows, and was truely beloved by all. Through his long lonliness since his wife's death, he was never heard to murmer, although having lost one whose christian life was an example, whose companionship was sweet, and whose assistance in raising his large family was inestimable. The last few months were peaceful in an unusual degree in one so old. He was very patient, although being quite feeble. His death was very peaceful, merely went to sleep and awoke in Heaven. What a blessed awakening was that; just going to sleep on Earth in the midst of all its cares and sorrows, and awakening in the light and joy of Heaven, there to meet his dear companion and friends gone before, asleep in Jesus blessed sleep. Farewell Dear one, may thy memory linger with thy friends like sweet incense, and may all be so happy to meet thee on the shining shores of immortality. Debbie I have no connection with the CUMMINS surname. I found this article and thought it might be of interest to someone on the list. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
