Only Cummins I have are mostly from Scotland.Although there is meantion of them being in Northern Ireland--County Down, they came from Ayr, Renfrew, Wigtown, Dumfries, and Kirkcudbright in Scotland in 1606. I know long way off on your dates but thought the town names may help. Down is directly across the North Channel of the Irish Sea just 14 miles from Ayr and Dumfries.
