    3. Capt. Fred: Have you ever seen in your info the name Lodusky? I have a Lodusky Jane Cummins, b. MO. 1844. The census says her parents were from Ohio, but I have a strong feeling that they were from NC originally. It isd a strange name, one I thought may be a family name. She married an Adams from TN/NC. Most of the families who lived in this part of MO were from NC. Rose Adams in CA.

    3. Rose O Rose I am sorry, but I have not seen Lodusky as yet, or at least not made note of it. I think your correct to look for it as a family name. I do not adhear to the now popular beliefe that our ancestors threw names around. We the modern generation are the ones that just pick names out of hats. Myself and all of my brothers can tell you exactly who we were named after. My wife and I on the other hand used just the middle name to carry on family or friends of note in our childrens names. I'ts like my GG James McDonald Cummins, No doubt that we were kin or He was a very likeable Preacher. There is tredition that says that gg was a lay minister. Stay on the Lodusky trail, I'll watch for it as I crawl along. Good talking with you , later ..........Capt.
