Well, I am way slow. But I found a note from Tricia dated 17 Mar 2000. She asked who some of the people listed in the 1790 census in Lancaster Co., PA might be. I found the sale of land of John in Colerain Twp. PA, Lancaster Deeds, 3Q, p.310, FHL film #21413 14 April 1795 Between John Cummins of Colrain Twp. County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and Richard Mackey of the Township, County and State aforesaid.John Cummins aforesaid by the last Will & testament of Charles Olipant late of the Township aforesaid became seized of a certain messuage Tenement & Tract of Land in the Township aforesaid joining Gabriel Morrison's Land and others; and also one other small survey of 9 acres & 17 perches being likewise in the Township aforesaid. And Whereas the said John Cummins likewise became seized of one other Tract or Tenement of Land being in the Township aforesaid by certain good conveyances from the heirs of Joseph Craford.220 pounds.all the three above mentioned Tracts of Land.One tract joining Gabriel Morrison's Land.81 acres 2 quarters acre 37 perches.one other Tract.held by conveyance from the Heirs of Joseph Craford.corner of the above tract.36 acres & ½.one other Tract.9 acres 17 perches.Wit. John Baird And I claim the Widow Cummons as mine. She is wife of Jonathan Cummins Sr. He died 1769/70.
