Patrick's last known residence was: 64434 Conception Junction, Missouri, USA. And his Social Security Number: 488-56-6953 Patrick had relatives or used to live at 288 East Merrimack St, Lowell, Massachusetts (early 1930's). Patrick emigrated from Ireland. He was a passenger aboard the Ship named 'Teutonic', he arrived at Ellis Island on 19/4/1900. Patrick was born in the village of Drum, near Boyle, County Roscommon, Ireland. Patrick had a brother John COMMONS (1869-1940) who remained in Ireland and a sister Mary (CUMMINS) who also remained in Ireland, she married Andy Kielty. My Grandfather Edward James Commons, visited his uncle Patrick between 1930 and late 1931. Eddie shared Easter with the Cummins family and then returned to Ireland to marry his fiancee Annie Williams (April 1932). In the attached photo, Patrick (Older gentleman) is seen with his nephew Eddie (left) and daughter. The other person is Jack and I think he was a family friend.

Where is your GGGrdmother Sarah Martha WILSON CRASK CUMMINS buried? Do you have access to the death records in that area that may show Peter Cummins death? I am also looking for death information on a Thomas VANDEVER/VANDOVER. If you can give me any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lee
I think things are gvetting a little mixed up with this line. Because my grandfather...son of Homer...swears his grandmothers name was Winifred but they called her Winnie. The fourth child was actually a boy by James' second wife in AR. His name was Darrell. Vance spelled his last name Beard. Homer also rembers a Jess Cummins that was a bigger man who was a bit on the eccentric side. Anymore help with this would be great. Oh by the way Winnie died when Homer Sr. was about 4. thats when the family was split amoungst relatives.

Looking for anyone related to Carreen Connie (Carroll) Cummins who died in 1970. Was married to Harry Cummins. Daughter of Edward F & Mabel (hanley) Carroll. She was my birth mother. I'm looking for siblings or any other relatives. cbresach@ncci.net
After I wrote the 24 Feb 2001 Simon Cummins msg I found written proof that the Cummins in KY and the Northwest Terr. was Peter Cummins. He was not the son of Simon Cummins who died in VA in 1771. Thanks for the info about Peter's third wife, Sarah Crask. I will E-mail you asap.
Can't tell you much about Simon or Peter Cummins, but I can tell you that my gg-whatever grandmother, Sarah Martha WILSON CRASK was married to a Peter CUMMINS/CUMMINGS in Breckenridge County, KY August 1808. She was widowed (Vincent CRASK) in 1805, in Breckenridge County, KY. This particular Peter died in 1814. Her two husbands may (or may not) be buried close together, but I can't find Vincent either. Sarah CRASK CUMMINS also signed for Peter's daughter "Rebecky" to get married. Sarah brought her brood to Illinois about 1848 and died here. Her gravestone is behind my aunt's house.

First let me say thank you to everyone who has ever contributed to researching! I was blessed last week in recieving a phone call from a cousin in Greene County, PA! I have spent hundreds of dollars over the last 18 years looking for my family and within 34 hours found the children and parents of my grandfather! It is your work that made this possible! I have discovered that my great grandfather was James Reese Cummins, he married Lucinda S. Huggins of Carmichaels. We are still looking for her, ssems as though after James died she went into a community house for the poor and was never heard from again.... They had the following children: Annie (1894) Walter G. (1896-1975) Louise (1899-1899) Ida V. (1901) Albert B. (1905-1976) If some one has this book by Charles Huggins- would you be so kind as to look them up? If they are in there- let me know how I can obtain a copy of it? If you can relate with these names or places let me know, we have so much to discuss! Many many thanks to all! Kristin
Thanks Sharon, I will check with her. Pat
Hello, my name is Mary and I am looking for the Family of Bert and Julia Steele Cummins in Mn. Julia is my GAunt and I have some letters she wrote in the early 70's to my Uncle James Steele. They were in the things left to me when my Dad (Donald Steele son of Julia's brother Sam} died. Julia was born in 1884 in Stithton Ky but grew up in Metropolis Ill. She married Bert and they moved to Mn.. Julia's grandparents were Theodore D.Sheets and Desdemona Elizabeth Stith, Parents Ada E. Sheets and Edwin P.G. Steele. Julia's brothers Clarence and Marshall Hawley also moved to Mn. As did her sister Emma Steele Kennedy. If any one knows about this family I would appreciate an e-mail. I am trying to fill in the family tree and would love to share with them. Thanks, Mary
I noticed that you had listed John Cummins and Eleanor Thompson as being married in 1767. I looked up the date of their marriage in a book called "Marriages of Penn. Prior to 1790". They are listed in that book as being maried May 27, 1766. It did not give the county that they were married in, though. Their last child was Wilson Cummins, born 1791. If she was 20 when she married she would have been around 45 when he was born. She died in 1908, and John Cummins was already dead. I hope this is the right marriage that we have all looked for for years! Sounds great. Joyce Moore
Contact Marjorie Oi at <woil@rochester.rr.com> She's working on the Cummins in that area and I'm sure she can help you. Tell her I sent you.
