I am trying to find the parents of a John Cummins born 6-21-1795 in Augusta, VA. He married a Nancy Agnes Teagarden in abt. 1817 in Green county, Pennsylvania. John died 10-2-1856 in Green county, PA. Their children are Aaron A. born 3-14-1820 died 2-24-1901--he is buried at the West Finley cemetery along with his wife, Mary Millikin. Martin Braddock born 1818 in Green county. Rebecca born 1823 died 3-9-1888 in Green county, Pa.--she married a Thomas Donnelly. John Jackson born 1829 in Green, county. Mary Ann born 9-29-1831 in Green county, Pa. My husband's family descends from Aaron Cummins' son John Lindsay Cummins. Im trying to find the siblings of John Lindsay Cummins, if there are any. Does anyone know anything about a John Cummins, who married Elizabeth (last name may have been Clinton ), who is found in Sumner, Rutherford Co., Tenn. by 1768. He operated the Stones River Mill. He died abt. 1804. I can come forward with some of his children, but can not locate his parents. Many of the early Tenn. migrants were from the Va. area, but I do not know for sure about this man, I'm just assuming ! Thanks for any help. Mary

He had several brothers and sisters. I have his mother's married name as Mary Jane Riston. Cecil and William Riston are 1/2 brothers. My grandfather's obit says that he had sisters named Mary Ellen Roberts and Gladys Brown. I'm not sure if their maiden names are Riston or not. Joseph lived with his grandmother and ran away at about 7 or 8 years old and worked as a migrant worker for food and shelter. He married on 12/24/1922 to Emma Caroline Hahn in Bollinger, MO. Any info anyone can give would be appreciated.
