    3. Hi All, Charles H. Morton, clerk of the County Court, Adams Co., Illinois, certified that Nancy Culler, applicant for the pension of her son, Michael Culler, appeared before him with her witnesses, John E. [sic] Shirkey and Ann E. Culler, on September 10, 1869. On the "Mother's Declaration for Army Pension", signed on the same day, Nancy states that she is 64, the wife of Jacob Culler and the mother of Michael Culler. She declares that Michael has left no widow or minor child surviving and that she was wholly or in part dependant upon Michael for support. Also to Pension Claim No. 1471101. Nancy Culler signed her mark. John B. Shirkey signed his mark. Ann Elisebeth Culler signed her name. Does anyone know who the above Ann E. Culler is. I show Catherine Culler as the wife of John Shirkey. Perhaps Ann is another Daughter or the wife of another of Nancy's sons. Or was there another wife of John Shirkey? Thanks for any input as to who this might be. Sally P.S. Do not open any attachments from me unless I tell you ahead of time that I am sending one. There is a serious "KLEZ" worm traveling around throughout the lists and the entire web. Frankly, I am not opening any attachments until the whole thing is over.

    3. Sally: My ggrandmother was Catherine Culler. I have been doing a lot of research on the Culler and Shirkey families. The only Ann Culler that I know it could be is the wife of George Culler brother to Catherine. George was married to a Ann Hoke and they lived around the Adams county area at some time. As far as I know John Shirkey was only married to Catherine and she outlived him by almost 25 years. later Debbie Stevens
