    3. Hello Sally and ALL, I signed onto this list because of the possibility of a CULLER/KOEHLER/KOHLER connection. My husband's family's surname was probably KÖHLER in Germanic Europe. My long ago <G> and limited rememberance of high school German tells me that the Ö pronunciation is somewhat like our long U sound. And, since the names were spelled in so many different ways when our ancestors arrived, it is really hard to tell who is related to whom many times. Our Christian F. KOEHLER came to the U.S. in 1852. He had been born in Germanic Europe in 1837. He fought for the Union in the Civil War and then m/ Sophia/Sopha NEUMANN in Wolcottsville, NY. They settled in Macon County, MO. He d 1906, and she, in 1918. Both are buried in Macon, Macon County, MO. I'm glad to be here and hope that everyone will post his/her information. ~ Leslie (Bridges) Kohler ListOwner/Moderator for MO-ABSTRACTS-L@RootsWeb.com MoCarrol-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards MoAdair-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Query Board KOEHLER-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards McMURRY-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards TROTTER-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards KOHLER-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards KAHLER-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards KELLER-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards KELLAR-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards McMURRAY-L@RootsWeb.com & GenConnect Boards
