    3. Dear Ms. Moreira Yunis: I would like to join the mentioned organization. I already called Dr. Enrique Hurtado and informed him of your "news," which I think and believe is great. I am a descendant of Pablo de Hita y Salazar, who was governor of Spanish Florida from 1675 to 1680. I am quite certain that he descends from the House of Jimenez, which ruled Navarra from 905 until the Castillian period, which was most responsible for uniting the Christian kingdoms of northern Spain, and the bloodline of which can be found in the bloodline of the Bourbon royal houses of France and Spain. All the research I've done during the past 15 years points to this. Please, let me know what is the necessary procedure. Respectfully Yours; Oswaldo F. Patronymic naming systems only started being adopted after a certain point in time. This may lead to people with different surnames having matches because their common ancestor lived in the same village. For some groups it may have happened at a quite remote time, but for others it may be fairly recent - going back to only a few hundreds of years. Therefore, geographical based projects may be of great help in furthering one's genealogy not only as a way to help enhance the family's history beyond the people's connection, going into the geographical aspects of it, and at the same time giving additional clues in situations of limited paper trail. A Geographical Project in essence traces members of families that come from the same region, independent of being males or females. You can get more information, or join this project by visiting www.ftdna.com after Jan 1, 2005. The service is dedicated to helping genealogists find lost relatives when the paper trail ends and the brick wall takes its place. A painless cheek scraping to obtain DNA that can help accurately determine a relationship with either a 99.9% probability of YES or a 100% certainly that no near term relationship existed. Pricing information is available on the web site. I hope you will join me in establishing a sound database. Your results should also demonstrate what part of the world your "clan" originated in, which may be very interesting to those who are sure they are pure Spanish!
