While looking for information about the province of Matanzas, Cuba, I came accross the following website: http://www.lanuevaaurora.com/ which lists the Almanaque y Guia Social Matancera por Pedro Tapanes as being for sale. However, it appears that they are no longer in business since I have received no response to my inquiries. Does anyone have a copy that would be willing to look up some names? or does anyone have any information where it can be purchased. Any information is greatly appreciated. thanks Lydia

The $25 is for any certificate, baptism or marriage. I will look up the names in the book and see if they are there. The surnames Carrreño and Cabrera have a family history in the collection Historias de Familias Cubana. Are you familiar with that collection? You might connect there and have a whole lot of info available.
