Dear listers, Joaquim Boy y Deulofeu emigrated from Catalonia to Cuba around 1840 and founded the Banco Boy. He married Rafaela RABASSA de la LASTRA, born in La Habana from a Catalan father. I am looking for their date of marriage and Rafaela's birth date. Any information on the Banco boy would be also appreciated. Joaquim made a fortune in Cuba and returned to Catalonia. In 1861 he purchased the castle of the Marquis of Aguilar and Earl of Montagut near the city of La Bisbal D'Emporda. Nowadays, this castle is a magnificent hotel restaurant: www.castelldemporda.com.
