Her name was Josefa Diaz- Cruz. She married Miguel Gil de Rubio. She was a descendant of Pepe Diaz-Cruz who fought the English in Puerto Rico. He was mortally wounded, having had the top of his head blown off. He was such a fierce fighter that he put a coconut shell on his head as a helmet and fought until he dropped dead. For this the king of Spain awarded him Barrio Annones in Naranjito, Puerto Rico. In the event that you have any information on the Diaz-Cruz family; please let me know.
