Greetings from Australia. I am a new subscriber and hoping for information on the surname Gottardi. Fedele Ludovico Gottardi and Filomena Gottardi went to Cuba from Ticino, Switzerland in the early 1870s. They were Swiss Italian. I have also seen the name written as de Gottardi. They had at least two children, Romoaldo Ludovico Gottardi born 1871 in Ticino and a daughter born after arrival in Cuba. I do not know where in Cuba they lived. I would be very grateful for information on how I could find out more about this family. I would also like to know whether the Gottardi / de Gottardi name still appears in Cuban telephone directory today. I apologise but I do not speak Spanish. Many thanks Sue
