There is a long line of Buxo in La Bisbal, Girona. One of them moved to Gibara and then Santiago de Cuba in the mid to late 1860;s where he met the grimany family. Salvador Buxo married Merce Grimany in Torroella de Montgri in 1869, they had three children.
