He and his cousin Victor Malga were in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, in 1860 and 1861. Both Puig and Malga were born in Barcelona (Cataluña). Malga wrote a letter from South Carolina to his parents in Mataro...describing the effects of the Civil War and the outlook for him and his family. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
