Hello, Last night I discovered after a long search that my gr-gr-grandmother, Ana de los Dolores Cabrerizo Gonzalez, was born in the "Caridad, Pinar del Rio" around 1840-1850. The lady at a church in Pinar who told me this said this this was a church in the city, But the only Caridad church I could find in the city of Pinar del Rio has only been around since the 1970s, so that couldn't be it. Does anyone out there have any information on whether there was a church in the 19th century that this may be referring to, or, alternatively, whether there is a town in the Province of Pinar del Rio named "La Caridad"? My gr-gr-grandmother's parents were Eusebio Cabrerizo and Rosario Gonzalez, and her maternal grandparents were Pedro Gonzalez and Monserrat Duarte (Eusebio was from Guane, so that's a different search. here I am looking for the maternal side).
