Do you have these ancestors' names? If so, you may be able to search the Spanish Archives on the Web (Archivos EspaƱoles en el web). They can be reached at http://aer.mcu.es/sgae/ To use this resource you first have to register as an investigator. You can do this on-line by clicking on the link "Alta de Usuario". You have to provide them with a passport or other "National ID" number. Once you are registered you can enter the person's name in the main text box and do a search to see what you find. You can also select "Advanced Search" to narrow your search to a particular period of years. In most cases you just find a title of the document where the name appears. If you are lucky you may find a transcription. In some cases there is a reference to a microfilm number which I assume you must research at the particular archive (there are no instructions on this). If you are REALLY lucky you may find images of the actual document on line (indicated by a camera icon). If you find a reference you will probably have to write the particular archive to see if you can order a copy of the document and how much they will charge you. I assume you understand Spanish or can get someone who does, since the Spanish Archives are only in that language.
