I am trying to find information on Francisco dePaula Vidal and his wife Matilde Josepha Morphy. They were married in New Orleans on 19 Feb 1818 at the St. Louis Cathedral. He was born in 1784 in Louisiana, the son of Rafael Vidal and Ana Moreno. She was born in 1795 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Diego Morphy and Maria Creagh. In their marriage contract, he is listed as living in Havana. All I know about them after the wedding is they returned to Cuba. I believe he was a sugar planter. A newspaper article written in 1892 said they had many children. If anyone has heard of this couple or is perhaps their descendant, I would appreciate hearing from you.
