Welived in Madrid. His father was Miguel Alonso Quesada,son of a diplomat stationed in Cuba who married a Quesada who had 5 children. The names that I remember are Damaso, Carmen Gloria,Cristina and Pedro.Miguel Alonso Quesada was born in Madrid, the older children were born in Cuba. A lot of property in Camaguey belonged to them, and I ofter heard that the Marques of Santa Lucia was married to a cousin. The poetisa Gertrudis Gomez de Avellaneda was a cousin and actually died in the home of Carmen Gloria Alonso Quesada in Madrid. Papers of properties in Camaguey also mention the name of the family Leaniz or something similar. I have the papers but have to look for them. I know that the name starts with L.
