Author: asantana714 Surnames: Sanchez, Guerra, Quevedo, Monzon Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.caribbean.cuba.general/11161.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I don't know if there is any connection in the Quevedo line, but my great-grandmother was Margarita Gertrudis Sanchez Quevedo from Ceiba Mocha, Matanzas, daughter of Lucia Dolores Quevedo Monzon and Sebastian Sanchez Guerra, both from Santa Lucia de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. Lucia's parents were Agustin Quevedo and Margarita Monzon. Margarita was born in 1846 and she had at least two siblings, Agustin German(b.1848) and Maria de la Encarnacion Dimas(b.1852). All three were born in Ceiba Mocha. I know that there were also some Quevedos in Union de Reyes, which is closer to Bolondron than Ceiba Mocha.
