I'm Christy. I changed my name in the late '80s. I knew your great grandmother as Tia Edna. I gave the bear you received from Eva to my mother, Martha. I'm glad to read it ended up in good hands. I remember Sandra! She spent the summer with Eva when I was around 11 or 12. I thought she was so beautiful. The family story I heard was that Edna, Eva and Emma's mother died and their father remarried to a woman who had three young sons. Each of the sisters took one of the brothers under their wing. I knew the brothers as Tingo, Firpo and Tuni. I'm not sure if I have Eva's birth certificate. I'm going to be moving very soon, so as boxes come out of the attic I'll check for you. How wonderful that you are going to Cuba! It's on my list of places to see. I do have some bad news. Pam passed away last May. Firpo's son, Luis, got in contact with me through Pam's niece. Firpo is still alive, but not doing well, last I heard. I'm very glad you wrote. I'll let you know if I find a birth certificate.
