Author: elaineking1973 Surnames: Butler Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.caribbean.cuba.general/11130/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My ancestor lived in Cuba between the above dates (perhaps not the full extent of these dates) He was Zebulon Butler (born in Staffordshire, England in 1832) and his wife Betsy (nee Wright, born 1837, Staffordshire, England) - they had the following 3 daughters, all of whom have Cuba as their place of birth on the 1901 UK census: Elizabeth Wright Butler 1864 born Cuba Annie Louise Butler born 1866 Matanzas, Cuba Mary Alice Butler born 1868 Matanzas, Cuba Would LOVE to know why they went to Cuba, what they did there, what it would have been like back then, how they would have travelled (via New York???) how long was it by sea? etc..........
