I am first generation from Cuba on his side. While my dad has a book containging my ancestors history, It is something I would at least try to figure out first before resorting to that source. My mother was born in Puerto Rico, her sur name is Gonzales. I don't know much about her ancestory as her father was abandoned by his mother and his father died when he was only a teen ager. This is something i'd like to figure out on my own without asking my family or parents unless I get really stuck.
