Second, because I use the same genealogy database to store families I have not yet connected I have a family tree that looks like this: Romagueras | LouisianaRomaguera PuertoRicoRomaguera CatalunyaRomaguera etc. Under the heading LousianaRomaguera are Romagueras who are not connected (at least not yet) and then following each of these Romagueras is the family I have constructed from census info etc. These are unconnected Romagueras and they all have a number 2 in front of their name: 2 Slyvestre who married Eleanore Brown 2 Pedro who married Catalina Ribas 2 Frank who married Catherine Fábregas 2 Salavador who married Catherine Ribas 2 Elise Romaguera from France 2 unknown Romaguera who married Rosannah Winkle By my method all families here start at generation "2" The wife is preceeded by a "+" and their kids are all "3" etc. Your family begins with 2; Pedro and + Catherine Ribas Their son is 3; Frank Romaguera + Isabel Lera (I have found no further Children of Pedro, he may have died in Catalunya) whose children are 4 and include 4; Austin Romaguera + Camille O'Conner whose children are 5, and include 5; Edgar A Romaguera + Catherine Furtado [from your infor mation- she is not shown on the outline because I did not have her name] His children are 6 and include 6; Michael H Romaguera + Leslie Campbell [again your information] These numbers correspond to generations (with "2" being the first known generation - it is confusing!) Note that Elise Romaguera came from France -- I found her in the 1930 census and probably has nothing to do with these other families which are probably related back in Catalunya somewhere. If you have a genealogy program like Family Tree Maker or PAF I can send a GED file with all the information on it because in some cases the outline descendent tree leaves out people. For example your great great grandmother Isabel Lera was the daughter of Damasio Lera and Jane Foster and has 5 syblings: Odelle, Joseph, Marguerite Sara, Margaret and Anastacio I hope this helps somewhat. According to family history the sons of Miguel Romaguera from Corçá, Gerona, Catalunya, España in the mid 1800s sent his sons out into the world because "the family was hard pressed." One went to Cuba, one to Puerto Rico, one to New Orleans and perhaps others to Argentina and Uruguay according to family history. I have extensive data on the Puerto Rico Romagueras and some on Miquel Romaguera including the names of three of his sons and some of the family ancestry back in Catalunya. The son who went to Puerto Rico was Luis Eusebio Pedro Romaguera. I have encountered in the US 1880 census a Romaguera who arrived from Cuba to Florida whose name was JoaquÃn E Romaguera. There was a son of Miguel Romaguera in Catalunya named JoaquÃn Esteban Basilio Romaguera, maybe he went to Cuba? I need to send some money to Spain in Euros to pay for some Baptism certificates that someone obtained for me. Does anyone know of the best, cheapest, and quickest ways to send money there in Euros?. Thanks Andres Echazabal
Almost any bank can do it. I sent a bank draft in pesetas to the Military Archives in Spain by using my on-line account with Bank of America and it was fairly easy and low cost, but this was many years ago. The Post Office can also do it, but I think USPS International Money Orders are only issued in dollars, so this becomes a problem because they will charge a fee for the exchange to Euros at the other end and some places may not accept money orders in non-Euro currency. You can go to a bank that does international business. They can make a bank check in Euros, you pay the fee for the exchange, but it is cheaper that way.
