Un poco mas de informacion ayudaria. En que ciudad de Cuba residio y cual era su profesion (se pueden hacer busquedas en directorios profesionales). Esta todavia en Cuba o en el extranjero. Puedes estimar su edad y de esa forma calcular su año de nacimiento. El apellido Triana es andaluz de la provincia de Sevilla, pero es comun por la peninsula, aparecen mas de 800 abonados con el apellido Triana en las paginas blancas de Telefonica. Saludos. Jorge

Hi Jeff, Nice to hear from you...the member of my family married a cuban woman as well and then moved to Pensilvania and died in Miami, where some of his descendants live. I am currently trying to get some information on resources in Cuba. Do you know if there are reserchers to hire in Cuba? Hello, Dr. Redlhammer, I, too am looking for ancestors in Cuba. My g-grandfather, James Cairns Airth worked for the Cuba Railway as a superintendent. His son, William Cairns Airth also worked for the railroad and married a woman from Cuba and died in 1958 without any children. I would like to know what happened to his spouse, Patricia Salas. I understand that he is buried in Havana in a cemetery for foreigners but I do not know which one or where. There does not seem to be very much research resources in or from Cuba. Born in Havana, Cuba, Mr. 2003 Saltalamachea moved to Manhattan when he was a boy of 5. He relocated to Brooklyn in 1966 and settled in New Dorp in 1977. Mr. Saltalamachea spent 30 years working as a truck driver for McClean Trucking and other companies. He was a member of Local 707, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and served as a union delegate in the five years before he retired in 1993. His family said Mr. Saltalamachea was a physical fitness enthusiast and had played football as a youth. He still enjoyed watching football games later in life, and worked out frequently. His wife, Barbara, added that he was an avid reader and enjoyed drinking fine wine. Mr. Saltalamachea was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, New Dorp. In addition to his wife of 42 years, the former Barbara Pavano, surviving are his son, Rick; his daughter, Linda Krute; two brothers, Albert and Charlie; a sister, Nicky Malandrino, and two grandsons. The funeral will be Monday from the Richmond Funeral Home, Grant City, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains. Louis VIALET was from Cuba, and he was the spouse (husband?) of Catalina Monterra. Louis VIALET and Catalina MONTERRA had a son named ALFREDO VIALET born 1876 in Havana, Cuba. He was a violinist in the Harlem Symphony of New York and was also a violin instructor. Alfredo VIALET was married twice: His first marriage was to MERCEDES INEZ TERRY DE VIALET who was born in Florida about 1878 (but lived in Cuba, Canada and New York). Mercedes was the daughter of John Terry and Madaline Bartlett. Alfredo later married Minna Boykins "Millie." They had no children. I have gathered quite a bit more info on this family, with the help of some of Alfredo's great grandchildren and Ancestry.com. What I am searching for is any other relatives of VIALET from Cuba, or anyone who knows more about the VIALET family that might still be living in Cuba today. I am told that the Cuban VIALET are relatives of the VIALET in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
