These men were in Charleston, SC, in 1860, living in the same household. In the household is Malga's wife Frances, born in Cuba 1835, and Joseph Peleot, born in Cuba 1840?. Frances (Francisca) is thought to be the sister of William Perot Hall (also born in Cuba) in 1825. I am trying to find the history of the Hall family and the connections with the Malgas and Puigs. Hola Anette: Viendo tu lista encontre a Pedro Hoyos. Yo tengo Hoyos de Macurijes, Matanzas. Mi bisabuela materna, madre de mi abuela era Josefa Maria Santana Hoyos. Tengo muy poca informacion acerca de ellos, peo se que el Santana nacio en Islas Canarias y la Hoyos parece haber nacido en Matanzas. Mi abuela nacio en 1873 en Cardenas. Si tienes informacion de los Hoyos, me gustaria saber mas. Mi bisabuela se caso con Mateo Herrera Herrera, de Teror, Gran Canaria y tuvieron 18 o 19 hijos, de los cuales solamente murio uno en infancia (la melliza de mi abuela). La gran mayoria se casaron, habian dos tias solteras, que yo conociera, y todos los demas tuvieron por lo menos 5 o 6 hijos. Te cuento esto porque voy a preguntarle a mi mama a ver si ella conoce algunos de los apellidos que estas buscando, que se hayan casado con sus primos. Ellos siempre vivieron en Cardenas y alli yo conoci a los tios. Yo tengo una copia de todas las peticiones oficiales de mi bisabuelo para casarse con mi bisabuela, pues siendo extrangero tuvo que hacer peticiones y demostrar que era soltero. Con esta historia habemos Pubillones de la zona de Guantanamo y segun un periodico de epoca se llamaba Jose Aunque vivo en la habana realmente soy de la rama de Guantanamo. El apellido viene a Cuba de Asturias, y los que crearon el Circo fueron Santiago y Antonio Pubillones, yo he estado buscando lo mismo y el apellido todavia existe en Cangas de Onis, municipio de Corao Asturias pero tengo entendido que el origen del apellido es Griego. This is probably of no impotance to you, but while conducting historical and genealogical research of two of my last names, "de la Torre" and "de Hita," i discovered that the village of Hita, located about 20 miles from Guadalajara, Spain, was a booming Jewish community in Spain (1000s, 1100, 1200s, etc), and that Samuel Lev� was actually the "controller - principal accountant" of the Kingdom of Castilla for some time. My last name "de Hita" originates, according to two documents I found at the University of Miami, in the royal house of Navarra, known as the House of Jimenez. The first "de Hita" was the Infante (prince) Fernando Garciez de Hita, grandson of the murdered king, Sancho IV (1076). There is very interesting information in the Internet regarding the so-called Jewish Kingdom of Septimania, the capital of which was Narbonne, France, but which included parts of Navarra and Catalu�a (including Pamplona and Barcelona). I do have some information for you, actually. my great great great grandfather was Eusebio Cabrerizo Ramos, born in 1793 of Salvador Cabrerizo and Maria Inez Ramos. His grandafather was Salvador Cabrerizo on one side and on the other his grandparents were Nicolas Ramos and Francisca de la Vega. Eusebio married Rosario Gonzalez. At this point I think they moved to the city of P. de Rio, and their daughter Dolores Cabrerizo married Juan Caballero, from Spain though born in France. Their daughter Maria Teresa married Ramon Alfonso and their daughter Ma. Teresa was my grandmother. Eusebio and Bernarda must have been siblings. if you can help me with this much appreciated.
