My name is Pedro Rafael Pumarada Urrutia from Puerto Rico. I am 33 years old. I know that there are Pumaradas in Mexico & in Cuba. This is what i know: My great grand father, Paulino Pumarada, was born in a small town in Asturias, Spain. From what i was told, he left home with 1-2 other pumaradas (brother o cousins) but only he came to Puerto Rico. Here in Puerto Rico he married Margarita Ribas and they had five siblings: Manuel (Manolo), Paulino, Pedro (my grandfather), Rafael, Luis & Margarita Pumarada. The oldest, Manolo had one daughter, Ileana who married Santiago (Chago)and they had three sons Juan/lawyer, Santiago/dentist (Chagito) & Carlos/layer who all are married with children. Paulino married Clotildes and had two sons: Paulino & Jose Manuel both who married but had no children. Next is my grandfather, Pedro, who married Candita and had two siblings: Margarita & Pedro Jose (my father). Magie, as we call her, married Bob Van Kirk (a sweet american) and had Jimm! y & Robert (Bobby). Now, my dad married Carmen Urrutia (Chiqui) and had Teremar, Patricia, Priscila & Pedro Rafael (me). Tere married, divorced and had three kids: Gabriela, Paola & Jorge. Patricia & Priscila are stil single & i just got married a year ago. Next is Rafael who married Lele and had Angelita & Rafael. Angelita married an american (name?) & has four children who are older than i am but i have no more info. I'm pretty sure they live in the U.S. Rafael (jr) married & divorced and had Amalia who is a bit younger than i am. Next is Luis Pumarada who married Celeste O'Neill and had Luis Fernando & Manuel Enrique. Luis married and divorced and had two daughters (one of them is called Jesenia). Manuel married Debora and had 3 beautiful girls and they all live in Michigan, US. AND last, the youngest was Margarita who married Jorge and had five kids (all grown up of course): Jorge (married with 3 daughters), Margarita (deceased), Tei - Divorced and had Giancarlo, Nicole and the twins (whom i always forget their names). Rosi - married w/children. Jose Eduardo - married with children. Out of all of this, i'm the only male carring the Pumarada last name because all of my dads cousing either didn't marrie, only had daughters! , or Pumarada is the second last name. If you, or anyone else, have questions, please contact me at [email protected] I would like to know more about the other pumaradas in Cuba and Mexico!!!! He apparently fathered a daughter, Mary Jane Vaughan, who was born in Cuba in 1823. Daniel Vaughan later moved to Bermuda, as did his daughter, who married a Bermudian and died in 1914. Daniel Vaughan died in Hamilton Bermuda in 1855. He introduced a new plant used in silk worm farming, so I'm thinking he was probably from the south.
