The smell of Cigars filled the air- because cigar makers from Cubabrought their craft and it was big business. The smell of coffee beans being roasted-because huge cylindral (sp?) were on the sidewalks where you could buy fresh roasted coffee on the spot. It is gone now, but Tampa is trying to reinvent the area. I do know there is a Tampa/Cubian movement trying to create and retain the history of the area. Hola a todos,  Perdonen si he ofendido a alguien pero para mi es de importancia historica pues en mi familia nadie recuerda el evento solo que se llamaba asi. De esa manera fue que salieron de Cuba algunos de mis ancestros y no encuentro ninguna informacion en el internet.   Mi tia ahora muy vieja ya no recuerda bien. Yo solo trataba de reconstruir una parte de la historia, la politica ni me interesa,  en ningun momento trate de brindar politica a este foro.
