Estoy tratando de reencontrar una rama de esta familia (de la cual yo soy parte también), que se desarrolló en US y Canadá. Tony Toledo, quien es primo segundo (o tercero) mio y de mis hermanos tiene una amplia documentación de la familia Juvier. Probablemente anterior a la Revolución Haitiana. Mi parte desciende de María Pérez Santander y Francisco Juvier Cano (o tal vez Reyes, no estoy seguro). Ellos se establecieron en el central Francisco (hoy Amancio Rodríguez) en CamagÌey. Esa rama Juvier tiene vínculos directos con el asentamiento Juvier en Trinidad. Yo creo que todos los Juvier de Cuba están de algún modo vinculados a Trinidad. No descarto la posibilidad de que el apellido Juvier sea una variación del apellido francés Cuvier. Her husband was Jose Manuel Angel Intieria. I was told that many Jews last names were changed to Saints or Animals by the king of Spain. Its possible the last name Angel was not the correct name. I am an ancestor of a certain Manuel Nunez de V. from La Laguna Tenerife whose family moved to St. Bernard parish near New Orleans in the late 1700s. There was an Isleno museum there which in fact seemed to be the house of one of his descendants, but I'm not sure how well it survived Katrina. I know he had a son with the first wife , Maria Gertrudis Fornaris (I know a son, Ramon Maria, maybe there are more...), 5 with the second wife, Juana Fornaris (sister of Jose Fornaris)but after she died in 1851, Ramón married again with Tulia Milanes Bazan. Ramon de Cespedes lived some years in Costa Rica, from end of 1873. In 1878 he was Civil Judge in Puntarenas in that Country. Though he already had 65 I wonder if he had descendency with his last wife, that was living with him in Costa Rica, the surnames should be Cespedes y Milanes, or Cespedes Milanes...Though Tulia Milanes y Bazan she's not a direct ancestor (my ancestor was the second wife, Juana),I'm interested in possible descendency of this third union. I've been finding out in some archives in Costa Rica but I couldn't find...and he was living there at least 5 years. Any help will be appreciated.
