My family is Frost from LI NY. They lived in VA at one time as well I believe in 1890s. They traveled to and from Cuba during this time. They owned a pineapple plantation in Cuba. I have photos that picture a "Pat (male) and a Vern (female) Vaughan". And some of their relatives (unnamed) including children. Wish I could be of more help, but it tells you at least there WERE Vaughans in Cuba. Also a Nelson family at that time as well. L. I am not sure if Foulin is the correct spelling of my last name considering it is very rare and I dont know how legit it is. But regardless, my father's name is Roy. His last name is either Foulin or Fowlin. but up to date i have not found anyone with the spelling of 'Foulin'. i was born in St.Catherine, jamaica and i am 44 years old. born and raised there, currently living in the US. (new jersey) i was not told much about my father but his name is Roy Foulin or Roy Fowlin. i was told he disowned me at birth but his mom (my grandma) agreed that I was his child because of the amount of resemblance there was. i was told that I look like my father as well as my aunts. I was told only vague and little things about him such as he was light skinned, tall, and handsome. Im not sure of which parish he or his family came from, but I am from St.Catherine. There are or were Montalban in Argentina and in Mexico...In Puerto Rico all the Montalbans are related and in different towns. for the longest time I thought all of them were from the town of Comerio and not so long ago, I discovered that they are in different towns in the northwest part of the island. I found out because I called a Church and when I mentioned the Montalban, the lady told me she she knew an Avelino Montalban, and that happens to be my grandfather's name. His favorite cousin was Inez Sosa, on his mother's side of the family. He remembers visiting his mother's little sister. My great grandfather Manuel Perez Hernandez married Rosa Santos Sosa. Rosa Santos y Sosa was born 9-4-1888. Could these lines be related somehow, according to your database of names? Oh, and I have Perez in Tampa, but he didn't emigrate there until 1950's.
