Dr. Manuel Antón was Cuba's top ophthalmologist, and was recognized at the international level as being a true authority in that field of medicine. Por mi tío Leopoldo Cancio ya fallecido sé que somos parientes de los Cancio Madrigal de Sancti Spíritus. Estos puede ser est§n mencionados en el libro de Perez-Luna, Historia de Sanci-Spíritus que da mucha información genealógica. Sobre si somos de los Cancio-Donlebún de Asturias,ésto nunca se pudo probar, aunque mi tío Leopoldo así lo creyó. El más antiguo Cancio según Perez-Luna se bautizó en SS en 1610, partida de la cual tengo copia. De ahí a Asturias no está claro pero así se supone. Espero esto te ayude.
