    2. Violet O. Guy
    3. Donna: My name is Violet Orrie (Moore) Guy. I am a direct descendant of Elizebeth Wheeler, the daughter of Isaac Wheeler and Martha Park(e). Elizabeth Wheeler was married to Capt John Gallup, s/o John Gallup III & Elizabeth Harris. GALLUP is my major family in New London/Windham Counties, CT -- I descend from three children of John Gallup III & Hannah Lake. You may check my Surnames on the CTNEWLON Website and there are others not listed. The GALLUP Family does have an annual business meeting & picnic in late August in New London Co., CT. I am an Oregonian by birth; and presently, live in Maryland. I attended one in August 1999, when I was living in Illinois. My name of Violet is from the Frances "Viola" names in my maternal family line; and Orra/"Orrie" is from a Connecticut DOW family name of Orra, but perhaps called "Orrie". My Granmother was Orrie Emily Greene of Griswold. The Orra was from her grandmother, Orra DOW md. John Gallup (a twin); with a daughter, Lucy Emily Gallup. Lucy Emily Gallup md. Benajah Samuel Greene of the GREEN/GREENE Family of Preston/Griswold, New London County,CT. The Henry Dow, Sr, the immagrant Quakers, who settled in Hampton, New Hampshire; and this group were Quakers. My line broke away from the Quakers and are known as the Connecticut DOWs. I may have 1-3 lines of GREEN(E)s. with atleast one line coming from Westerly, RI, just across the border -- descendents of John Greene of Quidnessett.. Since your Thomas appears to be a sister of my Elizabeth, that would make us first Cousins x times removed, with x = number of generations apart.
